Started playing this w friends. I'm convinced whoever draws the best cards has about a 90% chance of winning. Maybe I'm wrong. Idk. We have added quite a few of the expansions; we bought the big box.

Is this usually the case? 90% luck and about 10% strategy? Hope not.
Of course it all comes down to drawing the right tiles, but it also helps to place them well.

Friends and I played a game of Dead of Winter on Tabletop Simulator, halfway across the world. Decent little piece of software, really. We're going to play Eldritch Horror tomorrow. Surprised the lawyers haven't leapt onto this one.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

My friends have it, it's pretty great. I won as a fascist the other night and it was fantastic manipulating everyone like that.

We played 5 players so there were 2 fascists (1 of which was hitler, not me) and 3 liberals. I convinced one liberal to kill another and then elect me President, and I got to kill the last liberal. They all believed I was good, but I was bad.

It has a fair amount of strategy too. Fun, easy game to play that doesn't take too long.

A few buddies and I have been playing Munchkins lately.

We tried Splendor the other night. It's good, but I can see myself getting bored with it quickly.
