With the leak of the latest effort by The Deceberists, it's occurred to me that I tend to really love the seventh album of a band's catalog.

Tom Waits - Swordfishtrombones
Pearl Jam - Riot Act
Decemberists - Terrible World, Beautiful World
Radiohead - In Rainbows
Tori Amos - Scarlet's Walk
Led Zeppelin - Presence
Garth Brooks - Sevens
Not ranked, just some off the top of my head by bands that I love. All of those range from good to amazing. Not always a band's career best, but all lovely efforts and frequent listens.
