Guys, I'm drunk. And I haven't even peed in a sink yet.

I don't think he can top To Pimp a Butterfly, so I'm trying to do my best to not let my expectations get carried away. I'm just hoping for another great thematically cohesive album.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I have a feeling this album is gonna be his Yeezus. It's gonna be easily his best work to date but it's gonna alienate a bunch of people, and be less acclaimed than his prior records.
The Heart Part IV isn't on the record, so you can feel free to listen to that if you want. It was essentially him just declaring he's back and putting everybody on notice.tragabigzanda wrote:Intentionally holding off until the whole album drops, but encouraged by the positive response from everyone.

TPAB is very good, but I think it also has a lot of flaws. I have little doubt he can easily top it. That description sounds like something I will like a lot more.4/5 wrote:I don't think he can top To Pimp a Butterfly, so I'm trying to do my best to not let my expectations get carried away. He gave an interview a few weeks ago that seemed to indicate this album will be a lot more spiritual in nature, suggesting that Butterfly was all about the problems, and that the new one is about the solution, namely God. I don't know exactly how that will play, but it should be interesting.
I agree, LV -- on all counts.LoathedVermin72 wrote:TPAB is very good, but I think it also has a lot of flaws. I have little doubt he can easily top it.
