I love these songs too. Still Remains is just sooo damn good.

That's an awesome song. God, I love STP.zeb wrote:I really overlooked Adhesive for too long.
5 songs? That show must have pissed you off.E.H. Ruddock wrote:I used to be so into everything STP it was sickening. Then I saw Weiland at HOB a couple of years back and him and his attitude just completely turned me sour for a while. I mean, I walked out of that show like 5 songs in.
Would you say you have an irrational hatred for that show?E.H. Ruddock wrote:I used to be so into everything STP it was sickening. Then I saw Weiland at HOB a couple of years back and him and his attitude just completely turned me sour for a while. I mean, I walked out of that show like 5 songs in.
It was advertised as "Weiland sings songs from Purple and Core". He came out high as a kite and slurred through some songs, yelled at the crowd, and only 2 of the first five songs were STP songs, the other 3 were cover songs. (he does an awful, awful version of Mountain Song). When my brother, friend and I were walking out, there were people actually booing him after a song ended.LetMeSleep wrote:5 songs? That is magnificent.LetMeSleep wrote:That's the kind of shit That I'd love to stay and watch. Possible meltdowns are awesome to get drunk to.
I saw Badly Drawn Boy lose it and it was hilarious. Best heckle I've ever heard too.
BDB: (when he's having sound problems) I'm sorry I just...there's standards and this place just....I am used to
Some guy yelling: The Stones had no problem last week.
Another: Get on with it.
BDB: You know, I'm a serious artist
Winner: You're a serious cunt.
Lots of people left but they missed an acoustic getting thrown across the stage and some more priceless moments and comments and general laughter from the crowd. Fuck him.

He most certainly did. I can't tell you how amazing that moment was. His Mancunian swagger took a blow that night. What a wanker.LoathedVermin72 wrote:C'mon, he didn't actually say "I'm a serious artist," did he? I mean, for real? Come on. You have to be exaggerating or paraphrasing or something. That can't be real.
