I think it has more to do with the patriots and have a history, albeit mostly fabricated/perpetuated, of shady shit. And mostly, they are always awesome and as the american public wont to do - Love watching the great fall.

Isn't that the point? It's like a girl with a short skirt has to be a slut. The Patriots always win, so they have to cheat. It is a perception based on nothing more than personal feelings.

The Patriots get the additional attention because it is a perfect storm. The clean cut California quarterback (married to the Super model), the crotchety coach who is a bit of an ass, the billionaire owner who's suits are worth a monthly mortgage payment for the average american. If I was born and raised in NE, I would probably hate the Pats. haha

Also, fuck brady and his perfectly sculpted face and body.
