No we'll need to know you are ok 3 days later when you start getting symptoms of movie theater COVID

My heart
Saw empire tonight in a theatre. And just Feel everything right now
It’s an entirely different film On the big screen
Every single beat is different. But Harrison Ford.
He steals the whole show. Depth and height.
If this is playing near you just go see it. It was so much fun but verifiably an amazing and entirely different film experienced that way.
John Williams almost deafening but amazing.
I’m happier then I can remember and I just wanna hope you get to be this happy too.

Had you never seen this on the big screen before, dime? That surprises me. But I'm so glad you got to have that experience.

It was the first film I ever saw. No bullshit. All I can remember is the Falcon. Hence my obsession with it. But seeing it on a big screen it’s just a completely different and better experience. Every tiny little nuance and gesture from fisher but fiord especially. He steals the whole show. It’s just a different film now.
I’m going again tomorrow. Cos of course I am.
first saw it here.

Did you not see the re-release in 90-something in the theater?

I remember seeing Star Wars at a drive-in. I remember seeing Return of the Jedi for the first time.
But I don't remember seeing Empire when it was in theaters.

I saw the original trilogy when it came back to theaters in the 90s. Was still incredible.

Imagine how weird it would be to sit next to dime as he starts crying, reaching out to Han Solo, and mouthing the words "I Know," during the carbon freezing scene.

Same! I was just over a month old. My mother tells me it was the first time I actually stopped and focused on something with my eyes. I was apparently riveted by the movie.

My mom says we saw SW during the '78 release and I was mesmerized by the movie. My dad fell asleep.
I remember seeing ESB at a drive-in with my cousin and there was a double feature with a battlestar galactica movie.
Then my mom took me and my bro twice to see ROTJ in theaters.

I didn't see the OT in it's original run. But I definitely saw the Special Editions in theaters when those came out in the 90s. My friend worked at AMC and got me in to the employee screenings the night before each one opened. So I got to see them with like 10 other people in the theater. It was as close as I'll get to having a theater to myself to watch those movies and it was glorious.
Of course, I saw them all several times, so I also got the packed house/super fan/quote-along/lightsaber fights pre-movie experience as well.
