Dude, it's still good music and the show is flowing nicely. I'm sure your friend would have enjoyed it.mikejasond wrote:Its awesome to see live if you are a diehard fan that knows every album and B-side. If you just know the hits from their first five albums, not so much.
Well yeah but most people dont want to go to a concert to see three hours of songs they dont know. It is hard to become a fan of a song in the live setting with the distorted sound.E.H. And chud, maybe you did, but did they ever get a show like this one?
I dont think in an arena with distorted sound in the live setting is a good way to be introduced to a song.cutuphalfdead wrote:Fun fact: Some people can enjoy music even when they don't know the words to sing along.

you've never gone to see a band you've never heard before and walked away a fan?mikejasond wrote:I dont think in an arena with distorted sound in the live setting is a good way to be introduced to a song.cutuphalfdead wrote:Fun fact: Some people can enjoy music even when they don't know the words to sing along.
to be fair, pearl jam's live sound leaves much to be desiredBirds in Hell wrote:Huh? How distorted is the sound at the shows you've seen?
If you are going to a Pearl Jam concert to be introduced to a song, you're doing it wrongmikejasond wrote:I dont think in an arena with distorted sound in the live setting is a good way to be introduced to a song.cutuphalfdead wrote:Fun fact: Some people can enjoy music even when they don't know the words to sing along.
Id say it is, it only has like 8 really recognizable songs so far (Even Flow, Porch, Small Town, Corduroy, Why Go, Once, Betterman, Love and Trust maybe)cutuphalfdead wrote:This one isn't that out there.mikejasond wrote:Well yeah but most people dont want to go to a concert to see three hours of songs they dont know. Not exclusively. The balance at MSG was awesome. At this show PJ is barely touching a lot of their biggest songs.LoathedVermin72 wrote:What kind of an asshole would listen to like 10% of a band's catalog, go to see them live based on that, and be disappointed they didn't play exclusively that 10%?
When i find one that is vertical im kinda happy with it, we are watching on our tv so horizontal is sideways for us lolE.H. Ruddock wrote:It's 2016, how do people not know to shoot everything horizontally!?!!
