I'm on episode 6. Claire is the worst. She must die.

the foreshadowing was a little too much, them in the hallway, the deliberate shots of meechum during the speech. you knew something like this was going to happen.

I'm on ep 13. Seems like it's just building to nothing.

This is my experience with this entire fucking show. Every season builds to a flat "huh."

I'm enjoying the first four episodes, but I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop and the clusterfuck to start. Maybe it will surprise me.

We watched eps 1-4 last night (disgusting, I know). Some thoughts thus far:
Spoiler: show
It's off to a better start than S3. Some things I like, some I don't. The relationship between Frank and Claire is compelling; it's interesting to see how their different upbringings are informing their outlook now. I'm Team Claire, but I also appreciate the fighter in Frank, especially his skills as an orator.

A couple things that bug me: the story with the journalist released from prison could have been told way quicker. Rather than his trying to build some sort of alliance against Frank, only to try to take him out himself, they could have just had the character get out of prison all screwed up and gone straight to the gun. Reminds me of how True Detective S2 spent four episodes running in circles, only to press the reset button with the shootout in Ep 4 -- If everything is completely different in Ep 5, why not just streamline the plot to get there quicker?

The relationship between Remmy and Jackie Sharpe feel bogus at this point, and I'm sick of him looking all concerned about everything, without having any idea what's going on beneath the surface. He's been one of my favorite characters, but he's starting to wear thin.

And I hate Neve Campbell.

Glad to see the Putin stand-in is back, and that his story might continue to develop into something meaningful. He felt really misused last season, and the move with the Russian seeking asylum/China seems like a bold move for Claire.

There are a couple parallels to real life that are pretty frightening. The complete incompetence of the Vice President is terrifying, and the way in which the big players in this show swap political moves like horse just makes me hate Hillary even more.
random thoughts
Spoiler: show
Too much speechifying.

I thought they ruined Claire's character last season, but I mostly forgot what happens in season 3, so this is kind of a clean slate for me. She's been fun to watch this season.

Unlike most shows like this where I end up rooting for the bad guys, I really want Frank and Claire to die horrible deaths. But they are fun to watch.

I agree about Jackie/Remy. What is with Jackie? She's acting like a high school girl. WHy are they so secretive again? I'm sure there is a reason, but I can't remember.

I like Neve Campbell. I always wondered what happened to her.

The Russian guy is fun, and its nice to see Tusk back.

How long is this show gonna go on? They're running out of ideas fast.

Re: Jackie/Remy's secrecy -- Mrs. Trag reminded me that Jackie got married last season, and her husband has kids.

Who's Tusk?
Tusk is Major Dad

Glad to see FU back in the saddle... already manipulating tha bitch Claire, again, too.

You could tell she was disappointed that he lived through the surgery.

I hope he kills her hard!
