Saw tool in Hershey tonight

Band was fantastic, you'd be hard pressed to find a shittier venue in America

Sigur Ros coming here in november. Really excited.

Son Volt last night was alright. Their new single is pretty good and all the stuff off Trace sounded great. They also played Uncle Tupelo (Graveyard Shift and Chicamunga). The lead guitar player in the band really impressed. Jay Farrar needs a haircut though.

Nick Cave last week and Sigur Ros this week.

Just got tix to see U2 with Beck opening in September. My concert buddy and I are both bringing our oldest daughters. It will be the first show for both girls. It is his daughter's birthday that night too. We are pretty excited. The girls don't know yet.

Cool first show!! Seems the tour is amazing. I might go to see them too this year.

Big weekend coming up:

Thursday -- Eaux Claires pre-fest downtown (Field Report, Shouting Matches, some locals)

Friday -- Eaux Claires day one (Tweedy, Chance, John Prine, Francis & the Lights, Julieta Venegas, Sylvan Esso, Nels Cline)

Saturday -- Eaux Claires day two (Wilco, Paul Simon, Feist, Danny Brown, Mountain Man)

This year they have a small stage set aside just for spontaneous collaborations between the "artists in residence," including: all the National dudes, the Staves, Phil Cook, and more.

It's gonna rule.

Social Distortion

September and October are going to be busy concert months for me. I've got tickets to see Dave Chappelle and Death Can for Cutie in Sept., and then I'm seeing Fleet Foxes and Beach House together in October. Plus there's the Lost Lake music festival at the end of the month that I'm on a layaway plan for right now, as well.

I know! I wish I had a cool first show memory. These girls are lucky to have such baller ass dads.

Seeing Iron Maiden tonight. Got tickets to The Weeknd this morning for a September show.
