Yeah, I'm with LV too. He speaks the truth. I like his board presence for this reason.

stip is only arguing with me because he thinks all this DisneyMarvelStarWars shit is the best thing happening in movies right now. Of course we’re never going to see eye to eye here.

Uh, duh. I never suggested anything like this. I am talking specifically about Disney.

This was pretty good, went in with low expectations. Michael B. Jordan steals the movie IMO.

ive seen it and have no problem with how it is marketed or perceived

the goal of any movie is to make money. anyone that says different is fooling themselves. as a whole minorities particularly black people havent really had a movie like this. if marvel promotes it as "black friendly" or however you want to phrase it then so be it. i still went and saw it and still enjoyed it. i was pleasantly happy to see so many older african americans there (though i did have to explain to two older ladies why people werent leaving at the end of the movie)

of all the superhero movies i have seen on opening weekend this was by far the most packed i saw (noon showing today)

its my favorite. i wouldnt say best. im arguing with you because the idea that something becomes intrinsically shitty because Disney paid for it is silly. Make a case for or against the value of black panther on its merits (hopefully having seen it first). maybe disney’s influence is present a positive or negative way, but make the case.
