Nice that this is happening when they're playing Seattle so I can watch the debut on live TV. As luck would have it, Benintendi's debut was also against the Mariners, and that one I saw live right in the stadium.

Fun-loving guy who's loved by fans and teammates alike everywhere he's played signs with Red Sox. Mutual hatred ensues.
Shocker.

Do you know about the Price/Eck situation or are you just trolling?

Hopefully he's trolling...I can't imagine Phil is dumb enough to be on Price's side in that situation

Price's behavior is indefensible, anyone who would do that is a douchebag.

I actually think JBJ was a bigger dick than Price was.

They're equally bad, and I do care about it because the likely outcome here is Eck gone from Sox broadcasts.

It means Eck is less likely to travel for road games, which he already hated doing and generally didn't do. It doesn't really change a thing.

So do we all think Steve Lyons is in rehab? Leave him there.

Obviously Farrell's job is safe right now, but this is another glaring example of what a poor manager he is. Francona squashes this situation long before it gets to this point.

I don't know Eck's contract situation, but I could easily see them canning him to appease the players here.

And I can just as easily see Eck saying F this and leaving NESN too.

I don't know if the Sox can afford the PR hit from doing that...

The Red Sox need to just do what most teams do and put more separation between the team and the broadcast/traveling media.

Can't be worse than the Orsillo PR nightmare and they were fine with that.
