the acting was great, the writing was a mess!

a much better movie with a sword mishap is "Super Dark Times"

I've started working through Peter Weir movies; last night I watched "The Cars That Ate Paris" and "The Plumber", enjoyed both, Paris more

tonight I'm rewatching "Picnic at Hanging Rock", I'm excited

I can't believe I only just learned (a few days ago) that he made both "Dead Poets' Society" and "The Truman Show"; I love that he makes weird indie Oz horror as well as mainstream classics

is Master and Commander good? seems like a Man Bro War Man movie so never tried it

i remember being good yes. Wasnt crazy about it, but i remember it was a good movie...

Picnic at Hanging Rock, thats the one i really want to see.

PAHR is uncomfortable as hell, for many reasons but I couldn't help thinking how jarring and oppressive colonial Australia felt against the backdrop of the outback; the movie's almost two hours so the pacing is sluggish, but I don't think that's by accident

Loved the fist ep of The Shards.

seems its going to be pretty close to the book.

I rented "They Will Kill You" and kind of regret it, empty calories and tonally all over the place

I turned that one off after 15 minutes or so

couldn't agree more, I'm unreasonably excited for this one

I have to believe that most reviewers just didn't get "The Bride!", I was concerned about the mixed responses so waited until I could get it for cheap, but I'm halfway in and loving it so far
