Tree, let's say your wife is out and about running errands. You're home with the kids. She comes back a few hours later and says, "I had the worst day. I slapped a guy."

Well, if a person just goes around willy nilly slapping people, I would say that's a very silly way to live

how about this context? A woman is at a posh party, she flirts with a guy she finds attractive, she says I want to go on a date with you tonight, he says OK, they spend hours together, laughing, they kiss, hold hands for a while, SLAP. She has split personalities. She had no idea who this man was next to her. Did the guy deserve the slap?

There are bad actors in the world; you of course know that women are just as capable of toxicity and maliciousness as men, and they get to be unreasonable and wrong and bad judges of how to act. They can slap and be wrong! This feels obvious to me?!

It should be noted that Tree's wife is a violent woman who has gone into a stranger's home and attacked children.
