Not sure yet, but Ed´s vocals, specially how prominent he seems to be. But mostly in the excess of sugar this song seems to have.

But its only a small clip, i pray

yeah that makes sense, I was kinda hoping that Ed buried in the instruments was something that would carry over into other songs

Comparisons to the single worst song in the Pearl Jam catalogue are not encouraging.

well, I just looked at the track length again and it's 4.07, so it has time to go places

Catchy. Sounds like a 90s sitcom theme.

It definitely reminds me of something but not PJ... reminds me of something else. It seems to be new territory for them and I don't think anything from their catalog works as a good comparison.

I desperately want this to be the 2nd single to piss some of you guys off. It's all I care about.

If Something Special goes places, I think I'll really like it. If it sounds like that clip for the whole 4 minutes, meh.

Dark Matter doesn't really go anywhere and it has a 3.89 (estimated) rating on RM. I know what you mean though.

I have a feeling that instrumental clip we heard initially will start this song.

Im assuming this is one of the Tom Petty sounding songs.

Noted another Review that doesnt list Dark Matter(song) as an album highlight.

If it was a 2 min ditty it could be cool. Not 4 mins this will go nowhere. Listen to it . Omg this is a album derailer. It's Supersonic Big Wave Bushleager I'm Open Sleeping By My Self and that song about wound care and dyper rash from Gigaton.

Dark Matter doesn't need to go anywhere because it begin in the middle of a Joan Jett boogie. So it's already there. This starts out as the theme song to the Manny staring Kevin Pearson

Some scorching takes for a 19 second clip that we actually do not know the directions it will take.

BTW Skipping is a 4 min song. Well 346 to be exact, but add a few drum fills and a pentatonic run or 2 and you get to 4 .

Where could it go. Ed has never taken anything like this anywhere.
