If you liked the first two you'll like this one too. Other than a dinner scene it's mostly two people talking with several long shots throughout. Before Sunset is still my favorite though.
Staying home on a Friday night to watch a grown up, discussion driven movie while sipping on a bottle of wine throughout made me feel kind of girly though. Kind of feel like I need to go out tonight to a strip club after a steak dinner and drink dark liquor to balance things out.

Saw 12 Years a Slave. Well done.

Today I watched Burlesque. I will never be the same.

Predator....so good. Arnold's best. The creature effects still holds up incredibly well. So much better than CGI monsters.

I watched Far From Heaven a week after watching Velvet Goldmine and now Netflix thinks I'm gay.

That movie fucked my shit up as an 8 year old. Especially those skinned, hanging bodies they discover in the first half hour or so.

Its the greatest movie ever made.

Europa Report last night. Equal parts cliche and novel. The backdrop to the whole thing was well done enough that it kept it feeling human and engaging, though, in spite of the occasional misstep.

I'm kind of happy to know that - I thought I was missing something. I saw Pi awhile back and liked it well enough so wanted to watch this movie too. I didn't know I'd want to shoot myself within the first 45 minutes though.

I think I need to watch some movie that's upbeat and happy without being slapstick and disrespectful of my intelligence just to counter the dark void Requiem opened up. good god.

I think personally the hardest scene to stomach in the film was where that chick from labyrinth pretty much hits rock bottom

12 Years a Slave was superbly done. Great photography, great soundtrack, great performances.

However, the script kinda made me think about Passion of the Christ a couple of times while watching the movie, mainly because at times 12YAS feels like an exercise in brutality without delving deep enough into the characters or story. The girl in the row in front of me bawling her eyes out for the last five minutes of the film only reinforced the connection.

Yesterday night I saw Dallas Buyers Club. McConaughueahueahuea was outstanding, he should get the Oscar, unless Redford is better in All is Lost, which I plan on seeing soon.

"Blue is the Warmest Color": Moving, complex, beautifully acted, and yes, exploitative.

All is Lost in three hours.

A lot of movies left. And Chiwetel Ejiofor is considered to be one of the frontrunners.
