This picture has always boggled my mind because the ump is standing five feet away from the play at the perfect angle to see the tag with nothing to obstruct his view and his head pointed directly at the glove-foot contact... yet he somehow managed to not see the tag.

Probably distracted by Gruber's mullett. Understandable.
