Their strategy to try and look like they conducted a fair trial is to sift through a book you’ll be able to buy in every Hudson Newsstand in America in a few weeks in a classified setting, misrepresent what it says, and count on you never hearing anything else about it.

Yeah that's so transparent. Can the manuscript testify or be cross examined? I'd be willing to bet Moscow Mitch and Leningrad Lindsey had already seen the manuscript.

And the inevitable “I don’t even know who John Bolton is. I think we might’ve been in a picture together a few years ago.”

Still skeptical, but this might explain why a few Rs suddenly started returning to the “we should subpoena Biden and Obama and ooh then you’ll be so sorry” angry child thing.

That Twitter string is actually pretty much exactly how I feel about everything right now.
I mean this process will either break the Republican party or break the republic. I am not sure there’s another way around that, and we won’t know for sure until it’s too late on either front.

Trump allies are handing out cash to black voters
Organizers have begun holding events in black communities where they lavish praise on the president while handing out thousands of dollars in giveaways.

I saw POTUS tweeting about this but haven't seen any actual reports. Tester and Manchin?

The moment that the Feinstein story dropped, the journalist who actually conducted the interview said that the paper misrepresented what she’d said. This was before Feinstein herself had commented on the story either way.

hmm. she said she was thinking of acquittal and then that's what they reported. I see from other stories now that it was only part of what she said, in that that is what she
was thinking before the trial and now that we're in it she thinks the other way.

Good to hear. I saw a Politico article that claimed "3" Democrats were considering voting for acquittal and my Apple news feed had Feinstein "considering" the same. I was thoroughly confused by the Feinstein report.
