Fuck

I guess this season will be a battle for a spot in the play-in games.

Danny got to make his 22 picks in 5 years. 2.5 hits. Horford, Kyrie, Kemba, Gordo were his big splashes. Gone or going. If Tatum and Brown don't turn into Jordan and Pippen where are we? Maybe time to retire.

Cuz you can’t trade a guy once he’s a FA, so when are sign and trades supposed to happen? Or are they inherently in violation of tampering rules no matter what.
Sounds like this should have been announced over the weekend.
yup. hopefully it still will be.

At least we can put an end to the narrative that black athletes don't want to play in Boston. Turns out white guys don't want to be there either.

Kind of surprised how little the Warriors gave up to get Oubre.

Besides the $84 million you mean.

That's not mine or Presti's money.

The Hawks apparently have nearly 44 million in cap space. They probably have to spend quite a bit to get up to the floor.

Should I believe that this will be the year they finally bring in a free agent wing to pair with or spell Trae Young that matters?

So I agree that I'm kinda surprised how relatively little Presti got back for Oubre, but it also doesn't sound too far off. A low first/two seconds sounds about right.

Supposedly they want to offer Playoff Rondo 2 years $15 million.

It will be two seconds, of which the Warriors had a few to spare.

That trade exception and their willingness to pay a just insane luxury tax bill is probably the biggest reason the Warriors didn't have more competition I'd guess.

But surely another team could go for a 18 points a game scorer on a reasonable contract? Seems like a trade to keep goodwill going for a future transaction.

Maybe. The rules are so complicated, but wouldn't a team over the cap without the exception have had to send back salary? Maybe the good thing for Presti in this trade was just dumping that money and he valued that more than the alternatives.

Sigh, fortunately he wants to stay with LA. Hopefully they want him.

I think the Clippers want him really bad. Supposedly they're offering their MLE for him which also seems insane to me.
