What songs are you guys most excited to hear? From some of the reviews I've read, Getaway and My Father's Son are the two I'm most curious about. I've held off on Sirens too (despite catching the opening lines on the radio a few times) so that one is a big question mark for me... for better or worse.
I did a blind 'ranking' of how I THINK I'll like the songs. But I can't for the life of me remember where I put it...
Hey I found it!

1. Pendulum

3. My Father's Son
4. Sirens
5. Getaway
6. Swallowed Whole
7. Sleeping By Myself
8. Lightning Bolt
9. Future Days

That's actually not too bad, Joey. Swallowed Whole will need to be moved up. Are you sure you didn't have a copy?

So did this happen? I'm champing at the bit to find out what you think of this thing.
About 2.5 hours to go. As soon as I've sat down and had a listen, I'll post a short (spoiler tagged) first impression review here.

This is getting close. :D

And if, out of sheer joy, you want to post liner notes somewhere, I'd be totally OK with that.

Thanks, I'd spotted those, but the lyrics are too small to read easily. I'll just jam some Pixies till Tuesday, I guess.

So, I went straight from the school drop off to the shops. Not a single store had it yet, they all responded with the same "it's coming via courier some time today".

I had an extra large coffee and took the little one around the shops for a while in the stroller. Finally I as about ready to give up, and decided to check one last store (that I had already checked when I first got there) before I went home, and they had literally just recieved their delivery and were about to put it on the shelf. :hooray:

I'm sitting down now, and giving it a spin. Here goes...

This is out on sale here tomorrow.

Did we ever find out why it's so much later in the US?

Is this a 10C edition or something? It looks like it has a spine. No doubt I'll get a shitty, flat cardboard copy instead.

About half way through.
Spoiler: show
Wow, loving it so far. Better than expected, a few surprises like the three opening tracks which gel well together. Probably the best album start they've done in years. MFS is quite different, it may grow on me or I may start to dislike it, too soon to tell.

Infallible was so much more pop sounding than the soundcheck version, still enjoyed it though. Pendulum was a big surprise, quite liked it.

Not sure about SW, I don't dislike it but it sounds more like a b-side, and would've slotted into LD quite well.
More to come...

This is the same version I got, it's just like the PJ20 CD.

You've tactically avoided any talk of Sirens, right?

Sort of, most of us have already heard it anyway. I also didn't talk about LB, too. My main focus is on the new tracks, but I'm not skipping them as I want to hear the album as a whole. :)

Oh I C. Somehow I didn't think you'd heard it, my bad.
