also I enjoy that the riff, simple as it may be, is played with a stop-start rythm similar to WWS or DTE; it makes the song funkier than it would otherwise be if they were going ham on every beat

This will likely settle as a 2.5 star song to me. Might go up to a 3 once I can properly gauge its place on the album, but could also go down.

All three of the songs I mentioned move between 2-3 stars based on how I'm feeling at the moment. All three hold the same type of energy/place on their respective albums.

This song is a comfortable 3 to me, however I reckon it's built for a live show and will be a good 3.5-4 on tour.
