Ok I'm all in. I even created a sub folder in my dropbox for songs Boom performs on. I called it "Boombox".

This shit is comedy. That's all it is. You don't need to feel disappointed, because its really, really funny. You don't have to defend it because the combinational choices are so far beyond ridiculous it's too late for any defense to have a prayer. Pearl Jam is Kiss. Finkle is Einhorn. How you could possibly not find it amusing as shit to watch play out is beyond me.

It's like RM started a joke, and the band has been following up on it for us. All things considered, trading in their passion for music in an experiment to see how many zeros they can add to their bank accounts is the MOST entertaining thing they've done in years.
remember when we said they would make superbowl t-shirts

and then it actually happened

they totally read this board

i mean, they clearly have enough time on there hands to do it - it's not like they are together working in the studio or something

on that note, other great--i mean terrible ideas for shameless shit they should-- i mean, should not do would be:

- Another Ten reissue - 3 weeks from now. Just pow, right in the kisser. and only 1999 copies. and then 3 weeks later, another Ten reissued version, and only 1998 copies. and so on.

- Pearl Jam stock. Like the Green Bay packers. 1 share for $200, no voting rights, no dividends. Only since this is PJ, make it $1000, and instead of an annual shareholders meeting, you get a 4 minute and 30 second tape recording of Ed arguing with his sommelier about the way he keeps "looking at him"

- A clay bowl with half of a turd in it, with a backspacer sticker on it, auctioned for charity. The turd will be from someone in PJ's inner circle, the identity made known only at the end of the auction (hint: the person is not in the band, but keeps playing keybored for them)

- Release the album Lightning Bolt again. Just pretend like it never happened. Do all the promo, the singles, the videos, countdown clock, and just see how many fans go along with it and just buy it again on rodlease day.

- Actual Pearl Jam. Team up with Smuckers and finally just go for the jugular. Get on every breakfast table. Make it corporate-cock flavored so when you put it in your mouth you become just like Ed.

I'm still crushed by the lack of Pearl Jam menstrual cups.

Crushed.

And I would support the above, since it'd be interesting to watch the collectors mindlessly grab up literally anything that has Pearl Jam written on it in a weird race to see who is the biggest dupe, but then I see this relatively recent picture of Ed (2009) and I rethink the whole thing...

God I love this thread. It's the best thing to happen to Pearl Jam in 10 years.

What I'd give for another Riot Act!
