What movies are you watching?

watched a scanner darkly for the first time in yeeears. i forgot how much i loved this scene:

My son read Ubik for school and it's made me want to dive into the PKD movies and so I got that from the library. Going to start old school though and work forward. Maybe give one or two of the adaptations a miss though.

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Zombieland 2. Humor is different. Too corny. Meh. Pretty typical comedy sequel. Good time waster if you're bored.

The 70’s were a weird time for the franchise.

Toy Story 4. Not as good as 2 or 3 but still pretty good. The Key and Peele characters were funny but one of them felt an obvious ploy to steal some thunder from the Secret Life Of Pets rabbit.

Definitely the worst of the three, but still damn fun. And the art direction and camera work is top notch. I wonder whats going to happen with this franchise now they arrived to the end of the story.

I love both of them. The second was better yeah...and this one is really good. Its a very cool franchise.

I think the third one was my favorite. I liked the first one too. I didn't like 2.

I really liked how classy it was.

I really dug the cast/characters and that there were multiple bads. I also liked that the ghosts couldn't kill you. They had to possess you to really hurt someone or convince you to do something horrible to yourself like in the first movie. They broke that rule in the 2nd one.
