Yeah, I think he believes that and maybe it's true, but I think he is just overall positive about the new album.Hatfield wrote:Coach, what do we think of "everyone one in the band playing at the top of their game"?
At the end of the day, I usually like 4-5 songs on the "newer" records and I'm sure that will suffice.
I love the Earthlings, so I am optimistic about this one, too.

maybe the production of this album will stink because Wottkowski is drum impotent but then when PJ play it live it pumps hard

Sound-wise, yes. Performance-wise, not always. "Save You" sounds like it was made up on the spot and suffers for it.oftheearth wrote:Most of Riot Act was recorded live which I think the record benefits from.tragabigzanda wrote:Riot Acr sounds almost identical livestip wrote:there is, undeniably, an energy to a concert that hasnt been translated to a studio record since vitalogy. Well, at the very least, you can't fault them for trying a different process. The low point was when they just had BoB on speed dial and a bunch of demos for Ed to finish. Good or bad, at least they're trying something different.

This is true. Hopefully they don't half-ass it one way or the other though, which was my point with the Save You post.igotworms wrote:Well, at the very least, you can't fault them for trying a different process. I hope they don’t do that whole cryptic message thing leading up to the release. Just announce the release date and name. No need for “big news coming” etc. i feel like the Gigaton release was ok but for the previous two it was turtle races and art scavenger hunt.

One thing we know for sure is that the name of the album will sound weird and kind of dumb at first, then we'll start to get used to it, until eventually it will sound like a perfectly fine name for an album.

Yeah that's a good name, especially for a band full of daddies.
