I don't ever tip, because I don't get a say in the matter. Raz handles it every time. She usually tips something ridiculous even if it's subpar service.

if they introduce themselves by name, I'm going to use it. doesn't mean we're friends now. it's just being polite to someone whose job is serving me.

if i sit up at the bar, i usually ask their name if they don't introduce themselves.

Next time you’re in the situation just casually watch. I’d bet the majority of folks carry on the interaction without using names even if the server introduces themselves.


And dad, I agree about sitting at the bar. I always uses names there because it’s a more intimate interaction

Not in the last say... 10 years. I don't remember what I did before that. Probably a small tip. Fucking hate eating out.

my wife and I regularly have a date night, and we prefer sitting at the bar for that very reason. that, and quicker access to drinks.
