Scotland trip finalized. Last week of October, Glasgow-Aberdeen-Shetland islands-Aberdeen-Glasgow, renting a car when not in Shetland so we can visit sites not in the city. Pray for us as I’m anxious as hell about driving on the other side of the road

I did it in Ireland 20 years ago. It’s actually weird how quickly you adjust to it. The hardest part for me was roundabouts, but that’s because I’d never seen one before. Now they’re everywhere here as well. You’ll be fine. Is Kevin Bridges touring? I’d love to see him. He has one of the best debut hours of stand up I’ve ever seen.

We decided to drive our EV up to Baltimore for the show last week. Was the first time we did a road trip where we’d have to charge while traveling. Electrify America seemed to have the best and most available fast chargers along I-95, so we planned with them. Everything went well, probably added an hour total each way. It was good to know that longer trips are doable, but not sure I’d want to do any longer than that.

Ah right near the venue. Did you consider staying in a completely different part of the city for no discernible reason?

With no AC or anything the range is about 300, but realistically it’s 250-260. But we get that in the city easy with the dynamic charging or whatever it’s called. Highway is a little less than that because you aren’t breaking or coasting as much to charge in motion. The enhanced cruise control helped things though.

God I love enhanced CC on the highway. Set it for lane control and just cruise.

Is that the same as adaptive cruise control? It's nice.

It’s whatever maintains your speed, including relative to the vehicle in front of you, and also keeps you in the lane via auto steer. You just have to keep your hand resting on the steering wheel so it knows you’re still in the driver’s seat and paying attention.

Las Vegas (again) this weekend. Hopefully someone is willing to share a plate with me at Hofbrauhaus because their schnitzel is huge.

Mexico City first week of February..home in time for super bowl

Made it to Bologna today and walked about 5 doors down to a local restaurant for dinner. Had the most amazing steak tartare and the lasagna was literally melt in your mouth. Sooo good.

And just quietly, if you ever have the opportunity to drive the Dolomites please do so. The drive we did from Cortina D'Ampezzo to Ortisei was just unreal. I've never seen scenery like it. Just out of this world.

Do you guys have a go to travel bag/pack? In Scotland next month we'll have a car or train, but will be doing a lot of transferring between places, along with two overnight ferry rides to Shetland. A carry on suitcase seems awkward for all of that, but I don't want to take some big hiking backpack either.
