I came very close to buying tickets for the show here but their new stuff is so lame that it stopped me from pulling the trigger

I'm staying out of this South-American showdown. Might sneak in via the Falklands while they're sleeping idk.

"Frail & Bedazzled" should have opened Pisces Iscariot. I love "Soothe" but save it for later.
Still listen to this album all the time.

Went to see the band tonight and damn these dudes are on fireeee
First time seeing James there and I was blown away with him really. The classic sound was there.
Corgan seemed very happy and he was engaging with the crowd a lot, which was weird.
Highlights: doomsday clock, jellybelly, beguiled ( damn !), gossamer ( daaamn!!) cherub rock, disarm ( gorgeous) and Ava Adore

Full setlist:
The Everlasting Gaze
Doomsday Clock
Zoo Station
(U2 cover)
Today
That Which Animates the Spirit
Tonight, Tonight
Beguiled
Ava Adore
Disarm
Landslide
(Fleetwood Mac cover)
Shine On, Harvest Moon
(Ruth Etting cover)
Mayonaise
Bullet With Butterfly Wings
Empires
Perfect
Sighommi
1979
Jellybelly
Gossamer
(with "The Spaniards" outro)
Cherub Rock
Zero
Encore:
Ziggy Stardust
(David Bowie cover) (James Iha on lead vocals)
Zoo Station works very well as a super heavy cover. Very fun. Jimmy shines there. I loved how the mixed Gossamer with a little of The Spaniards, and Corgan was on fire during the outrro, unreal really. Mayonaise was gorgeous too. And James was spot on during Ziggy, sounded great.

fitting song yeah. Sounded awesome live, Jimmy´s intro is one of my favorites. I was very pleased with how much interaction the three of them have, they really seem to have a good time.
And Corgan was in so high spirits, he was smiling and doing all of kinds of goofy stuff. James also, very funny when he talked to the crowd. Kind seemed like a 1993 show.
Jack Bates is very good, great incorporation. But i dont get why they need Kiki really.

Pretty neat set. Quite a few all-timer Jimmy songs in there.

yeah, he was awesome and not flashy at all. Dude is sitting there hitting that like crazy but barely moves or talk. Very fucking cool.

Starla
Set The Ray To Jerry
Aeroplane Flies High (Turns Left, Looks Right)
Drown
Pennies
Outside of Radiohead and Soundgarden I can't think of a (relatively contemporary) band that had such elite non-album material.
