Only just got around to giving No. 4 a spin. Sounds pretty good to my ears - nice and dynamic

How great is Glide?

No. 4 came out during the 4 month stretch I live in Australia in 99. I read the first two Harry Potter books there. “You can seek with the seeker, but hold on for the ride” still makes me think of those books and that time.

Bruh.
I know where No. 4 stands in the general rankings, but STP-wise, that closing run of:
Glide - I Got you - MC5 - Atlanta
Is fucking awesome.

Fight me.

yeah, N4 is such a great album, specially when you think those dudes come back after some years and recorded that.

There was a cool dive bar we used to go to.. jukebox kinda sucked except it had #4 in it (the old jukebox it had cds as opposed to touch tunes).. every song on it got played constantly.. especially Atlanta

No. 4 is great. At least my third favorite STP album...but maybe second. Maybe.

3 decades out, Purple might be my favorite album. Not favorite STP album. Favorite album. I don’t love Pretty Penny or Army Ants, but every other song is 5 stars to me.

How weird, I heard between the lines at a buffalo wild wing today and I looked to see if STP was on here without requiring a search. It wasn't up, but now it is. Hail, hail to a great band.
