I really like Sirens at the moment but totally relate to everyone's criticisms of it.

Is that even possible?

It's a song that succeeds despite its flaws

they only did that once, with grievance. since then they've played i am mine, save you, life wasted, got some, just breathe on late night talk shows while promoting the respective records. all singles.
Ah ok, but had any of the singles been released prior to the performance? From memory, weren't Life Wasted and Got Some both unreleased songs?

i'm not sure. i know avocado was at least leaked by then, but i think they performed on snl first and played wws and severed hand, which might have been before the official release. got some deffo wasn't released yet, though.

I love Sirens, I have no criticism of it at all. Yeah sure it sounds a bit like a soft country ballad, but it's a beautiful song, and I think it's going to really come to life when played live. An extended Mike solo hopefully, and the crowd singing along 'Ahh Hahh, Ohh Ohh" at the end.

I'm really glad you like it but that idea is not really helping me like it.

The 'Sirens' solo really is unnecessarily huge.

I love it. It gives a relief from the weight of the rest of the song, and I love the melody and Jeff's bass jam along with it. I wish it was even longer, hope it gets extended live.

Could probably count on the bands fingers how many people noticed that.

I would love to hear a live cut of Sirens. If it's aywhere near as good as the youtube version I say we'd be in for a treat!

It doesn't matter how many people noticed it, he still did it.
