The duet with his dad is moving. Hard not to feel this one.

This maybe Eddie's best work this century.

Nothing I've heard makes me rank his work here higher than Binaural, Riot Act, Gigaton, or even S/T.Tj wrote:This maybe Eddie's best work this century.

Definitely better than riot Gigaton lighting bolt. S/t Backspacer maybe as good Binaural probably betterguitar_davey wrote:Same.Leatherhead wrote:Nothing I've heard makes me rank his work here higher than Binaural, Riot Act, Gigaton, or even S/T.Tj wrote:This maybe Eddie's best work this century.

I am absolutely not mad about this album, I like it a lot
it feels like a better Backspacer than Backspacer, and I mean that as a compliment; and there are some truly kickass heavier moments too

I love all of that, I had a big grin on my faceguitar_davey wrote:I wasn't sure about Good and Evil until the chorus hit. Good banger.
Still not loving that really fuzzy, compressed guitar tone that's on a couple of the "heavy" songs.

Re: Eddie Vedder - Earthling
The good: Ed hits notes he hasn't tried to hit in the studio in a long time ... and sounds good; some songs have a 98-03 vibe/quality; there is even a Vedder-Vitalogy feel to parts of some songs (too bad it's not full songs); Chad Smith; song-writing, especially Invinsible, On my way, and Dark, but a few others too.
Overall, 2-4 of these songs will be missed on the next pj record. Too little effort was put into the lyrics of some of these. I'd put the record somewhere around Binaural and Riot Act, but I don't rank those two in pj's top 5 for what it's worth.

I'm really impressed by how many of you are participating in the prank, and really pretending that this has leaked
