As long as they don't give a shit I am in. Very good point. I forgot I have been trying to make that point about Sirens all week.
Was this apparent "rivalry" between Pearl Jam and NickelCreed ever actually a real thing? Or is it just some fan-made mythology?
Rivalry? They're just shitty music, harm.
Well yeah. I just mean, do PJ actually acknowledge them as a shitty version of Pearl Jam? Or don't they care? If they don't care, it might be quite plausible that they'd actually write a song that sounded similar, because you know, at one point they sounded fairly similar.
u never heard "Creed Disease"? eddie vedder improved these lyrics while singing green disease

I actually still don't know where Matt's mistake is.

This reminds me of Ed trashing Good Charlotte. Little did we know Pearl Jam would release their own album that 'tasted like a popsicle stuck up somebody's ass'

But I seem to remember back in the day (maybe it's in SVT?), EV quoting something about not striving for perfection in studio and film clip performances. His feeling was that those little minor fuck ups are what gives a performance character. If you make it 'perfect' then it feels lifeless and stale.
Maybe he's gone back to his older ways, and is not "fixing" things any more.
Then how do we explain the rest of Sirens? Its about as boring, lifeless and stale as it gets....
they were actually supposed to be playing black, but the little mistakes add up...

I'm flying oh
wide oh
sometimes I forget just how crappy the GTF chorus is (lyrically, anyway) because it sounds so good.

Ed made some awkward comment a while ago about how he didn't feel like he could "sound like himself" for a while, there, and how sometimes friends would call him and say "hey bro, heard your new song on the radio," but it was these other bands or something. Yawn.
