What I mean to say is that the fact that rural counties have fewer ICU beds is to be expected, and is mostly irrelevant in a country that has more ICU beds per capita than any other country in the world (by far), and has a rural population with cars who are used to driving longer distances for services and value self sufficiency anyway.

And the same strategy that led to centralizing of hospitals in more populated areas might also be responsible for the prosperity that caused those hospitals to be better equipped and able to support a larger population, both urban and rural. And that maybe by inefficiently spreading out those resources to rural areas that wouldn't need them except in once-in-over-a-century plagues, we would put a strain on the ability to have such an abundance of beds in the first place.

AND this article is just another example of an elitist media douchebag twisting stats to dunk on poor dumb rednecks and their stupid backwards ways, and failing miserably.

Don't worry I'm sure he learned his lesson.
