Any kind of payroll limitations will always be frustrating, especially for a team that's just a piece or two away. Owners are the worst.
Especially for a team that is one of the most expensive in sports to be a fan of.

You got any evidence that he's faking this? Does David Price have a history of being on the DL for bs reasons? Because I think the answer to both of those questions is no.

But that doesn't fit the anti David Price narrative in this town so who cares right?

You've been a Red Sox fan just as long as I have, you are well aware of their history of fake DL stints. You don't like this narrative because you are unwilling to admit that this Price situation is becoming untenable. We both wanted them to sign Price, I am willing to admit it was a mistake, are you?

And there are reports that he isn't hurt, btw.

Can you link to some of them?

Elbow injuries like the one he had in the pre-season have a tendency to recur.

Dan Roche, who you probably don't know but chud does, was just on the radio saying it's an "anxiety" issue. If you don't believe me, that's fine.

Not that I had to be convinced, but if Rochie is saying it, I buy it.

Thanks. There was never an issue of whether or not I would believe you, it was about the validity of the source. The Boston media doesn't exactly have the best reputation for making shit up to make players look bad.

To be honest, that reputation isnt really that accurate. While there are still a few guys left in town that are rough on the team, the majority of them today rarely criticize the team and it's usually only when ownership sanctions it.

Ownership seems pretty happy to sanction it, then.

The negative attitude about everything isn't far off the way things are in Toronto, except Toronto is mostly just the media being a bunch of negative, cynical shit-disturbers rather than stories being planted by the team.

As an example, no matter which side you come down on, this Price thing has been a HUGE story in Boston this week, but NESN has yet to acknowledge it on air.

Whether this injury is fake or real the Red Sox have a problem.

I feel like a bad homestand would be worth it if it meant they'd can Farrell.

I was hoping they'd lose the other day with Sale on the mound, I figured if they lost that one, Farrell would've been canned before they flew home

I actually think his in-game ineptitude hasnt been costing them as much as it did the last couple years, but this year the team has a completely toxic clubhouse.
