It would be really interesting to know what Matt cameron really thinks about the how his drums end up sounding on the last few records,

He can play more subtle, like on all or none, thumbing my way, benaroya hall etc , this song makes him seem like a deaf moron

He probably hates it and then ceases to care once he sees those premium seat prices.

given the way his snare drums sound live now (just like this), he probably doesn't care

I'm not hating anything about the clip. I don't expect a cute song about parenting to be an album standout. Probably just a break from the heaviness of the rest of the album. The Spin article described it as:

'There’s even a song about parenting, “Something Special,” which Vedder said at the Troubadour was co-written with touring member Josh Klinghoffer.'
Second single ballad is the PJ recipe. This one could hit too - middle aged dad singing country tinged maudlin song about being proud of his young adult daughters. Moms will dig it.

Are you suggesting that you don't think EV is going to live to be 118?

based on that shitty clip it is a winning melody . i could see it being a hit. i like the idea of a song about how I am proud of my daughters that they would never listen to. feels appropriate

I'm amused by how many people are hating on this 15 second clip (both here and in other PJ circles). The next few months are going to provide excellent RM content.

It makes sense that this song would sound like Earthling. Josh and Wotman were co-writers on all but one of those songs.
