So we go all through Italy and there are bidets literally beside every toilet. We come to Athens and are told we cannot flush our toilet paper down the loo - have to bag it in the little bins beside every toilet instead (the plumbing apparently can't handle anything but human waste). But here, not a bidet to be found.

Isn't this the exact place you'd expect to find bidets everywhere if you can't actually flush toilet paper???

Just save the money on plumbing and have people go right into the buckets

that's kinda crazy to hear about the greek poopy bottom situation esp since they made gay sex great again

i mean the spartans understood that true love can only exist between two consenting adult males

and history lost its way ever since then

So sad. At Athens airport waiting for check in to open so we can get rid of our luggage and get on the long arse flight home. I can't believe the month away is up already...

Great trip, such fun. Athens was a blast btw - the wease's were right.

Gonna go home and start planning the next trip. I think Spain might be on the cards.

But for now it's 5 hours to Doha, a 2.5 hr layover and then 12 hours home to our own bed.

isn't it times like this where you ask yourself how much more you would pay just to be already home?

Too bad you don't have more of a layover. Doha is a beautiful city!

Yeah, after the bus to the terminal and passing through the various security checks pretty much just grabbed a Coke and straight yo the gate (where we currently sit). The city looked amazing from the air coming on though.

Not sure Doha is my cup of tea though (or rather Qatar on general), but that's nothing to do with the city's beauty. I'm just not a fan of cultures that reduce women to chattels on a lot of levels. I also appreciate I'm not very well educated with respect yo Qatar on this stuff, it's just what I've gleaned in passing.

Usually yes (and ask me again 6 hours into this next flight I guess) but for now I'm just not yet ready to be home. I want this feeling of freedom to last as long as it can.

tickets to theme parks in florida probably dirt cheap now eh?

not being funny there used to be a thing where you could disaster holiday and go and help out clean up communities and get a bed and fed for a couple of weeks in disaster zones..

is that still a thing? id go help out in Florida. Its a strange but beautiful crazy place. Would love to help out n see it climb back up. The world needs the strangeness it brings

did you know that it was named in honor of a time Homer Simpson was annoyed, but then laughed?
