David Price and Hiroki Kuroda are the slowest in the league right now at 25.8 seconds per pitch. Jake Peavy is the worst on the Red Sox at 23.7.
As usual, Mark Buehrle is the fastest at 15.8. The crazy thing is that's more than three full seconds faster than the next fastest.

I always thought Kuroda was really slow, but didn't realize he was the worst offender in the league. Buerhle's time management is a thing of beauty.

Pitchers shouldn't have to work at Mark Buehrle's pace, but that's insane.

Yep. I love the way Buehrle works with batters like that. He just stands there at the ready, and it seems like he's half way through his delivery by the time the batter steps back in. He does a really good job throwing off batters' routines.

I think its far more conducive to replay than the other sports- football its a lot harder to see whats going on in a lot of cases because of the number of bodies. NHL and NBA have to limit their replays so specifically because there are no natural stoppages after every play. Im very glad they have decided to implement a replay system in baseball, and hope it gets expanded to automated ball and strike calls in the future.

The lack of a consistent strike zone is the greatest continuous travesty in all of professional sports.

Roy Oswalt vs Ben Sheets were almost always 2 hour games, now those guys DID NOT waste time
I think Sheets and Buehrle hooked up for 1 hour 50 mins once even?

Buehrle pitched a complete game against Seattle in early 2005 that only took 99 minutes.
