Anyone here post at the Pit? I need someone to start a petition for them NOT to play Future Days on Friday night. Thanks.
If I could wipe one pearl jam song (and video ) from existence it would be the fixer. That means it beats sirens, and Eddie singing can't keep on a rock in the ocean all windswept in a suit, as you do.BurtReynolds wrote:I never recovered from my girlfriend laughing at me over The Fixer, despite my efforts to hide it from her. Now I keep my fandom, such as it is, a secret.
If it's Ed playing it solo I think it will be fine.Dugg wrote:Anyone here post at the Pit? I need someone to start a petition for them NOT to play Future Days on Friday night. Thanks.
Okay, Swallowed Whole may be meh but very meh? That's going too far...@SkitchP wrote:So far I think I like pendulum best. Swallowed Whole is very meh

I actually dont hate Let the Records play in the context of the album.
I respect this opinion but wondering what are some specific examples, I'm not a production expert so I'm not really sure what it means.Hypnosomnia wrote:This is my verdict. The songs on the album rank from good to great, but I finally have to accept that the production is the main problem here. I simply can not believe that Brendan O´Brien is the same guy that produced Vitalogy or No Code, although you can see the beginning of the problem, whether you like or not, in Yield (strangely enough, my favorite record) Yes, just listen to that album and you´ll see. I´m an album kind of person, not so much a bootleg one, but for the first time I think that I´ll enjoy more the live renditions of the songs rather than the album´s. I´m a little sad and frustrated cause this could have been a beast of an album, but it´s ultimately neutered thanks to the inappropriate production. It simply lacks balls. Everything sounds so fucking thin and pretty. Arghh. Really, this guy is doing some pretty good permanent damage to the band.
You were watching these Youtube videos at the time, right? What about all the others that included the MYM outro as well? Or didn't you watch those?@SkitchP wrote:Overall I liked it quite a bit more than backspacer, but that's not saying a whole hell of a lot. I think i like it more than self titled, but only time will tell on that one.
I am actually really disappointed about the whole Mind Your Manners outro thing. That was probably my favorite thing I had heard out of the initial 6 or 7 songs, was when they had what I thought was a little pause and the return to the intro... but NOOOO thats not actually part of the song.
I can see that, thats how I feel about MFS@SkitchP wrote:Getaway still feels like is either too fast or too slow. It''s not a bad song, something just feels... off

I mean the vignettes / Youtube ads. They all had an ad running at the end with that MYM intro over it.@SkitchP wrote:harmless wrote:You were watching these Youtube videos at the time, right? I did not. I had the actual leaks emailed to me on those. Where as when Mind Your Manners was released, it was official and easy to view there. I never listened to it outside that.
