It isn't overpowering or anything, just gives it a unique edge. Went well with the alfredo I had last night for dinner.

When I first started really getting into beer, Dogfish Head (and Founders) was by go to. Now, I can't say that I remember when the last time I had a DFH beer. It has to have been about 4 years (when that pisswater PJ beer came out).

Founders is awesome. Their Porter, Centennial IPA, Breakfast Stout, KBS.... All awesome.

I can't handle the heavy stouts / porters this time of year. Bring on the Pilsners and Lagers.

Enjoyed this one the other day. It's a damn fine beer for a warm, sunny day:

I've had a few good ones this weekend. Last night included, bust was not limited to these three local beers brewed right here in Minneapolis.

I just sat down to relax for the evening and I poured myself a bottle of Founders Carmudgeon. It's a marvelous beer.

So, you know how Boulevard just started selling in cans? I just bought a few cans of their Wheat for some late afternoon, summer sun drinking.

i used to be so anti-can, simply because i was completely ignorant and was basing my assumption that it would taste watered down on my college experiences drinking natural light from a can. now i prefer mostly every ale in a can.

I'm certainly not a snob about cans, but I do still tend to prefer drinking my beers from bottles or glasses. But, yeah, I'm not above a can, not at all. Especially, as you say, with ales.

I have shifted to stocking my fridge primarily with cans. I don't tend to drink too frequently so anything to extend shelf life is helpful. That being said, I really can't recall the last time I actually drank from a bottle/can.
