There’s just no world where the way to fix public fury at murderous police impunity is to expect people to calm down while police continue to CAUSELESSLY ASSAULT THEM with impunity.

That’s it. That’s the whole thing. I don’t care about your politics or your opinion about the protesters or any of it.

Among other things, expecting a population to calm down in the face of THIS runs counter to every facet of the ideology that says forced masks are tyranny.

This video is fucking insane. God damn, I hadn't seen this. Reinforces my belief that when a Republican talks about "big government", they're confused. I don't mean to sound condescending, true conservatives will be as angry as anyone, but that group of people has been shown to be tiny & powerless.

The idea that you should not unilaterally believe any source, mainstream or otherwise, is something I've taught (and been taught how to teach) in Writing/Composition 101 at multiple R1 universities across the country. It is basically standard practice for any program of critical thinking at the freshman level.

Didn’t that argument start with Josh quoting news orgs who were reporting on outside agitators?

And didn’t it turn out that those news orgs were directly quoting city administrations?

And didn’t those same administrations later say they were repeating inaccurate information given to them by...the police?

Didn’t that argument start with Josh quoting news orgs who were reporting on outside agitators?

And didn’t it turn out that those news orgs were directly quoting city administrations?

And didn’t those same administrations later say they were repeating inaccurate information given to them by...the police?

And isn’t that why I generally mock and distrust the mainstream media? And isn’t that why I have not defended the police once in this situation? And isn’t that exactly why I push for a less powerful and overreaching government? I mean, you are basically proving the point that I’ve made forever that the mainstream media is just a mouthpiece for the leftist politicians that constantly lie to our faces.

I literally have dozens of friends in the immediate area. My connection to this area dates back to my grandparents. They went to the same high school. My parents met as 10th graders in the same school. I’ve spent literally YEARS of my life in these very locations. My personal connection to this situation is significant. And I have a far greater understanding of these neighborhoods and the demographics than all of you combined. I know you will continue to dismiss my insights and personal knowledge because you hate Trump. Whatever. This is personal to me. There are friends and extended family that I currently have living amongst this chaos, and I trust their firsthand insight and experiences.
