So I watched Halloween Havoc 93 recently, it was a good show. This might help to me to dive into a period of WCW, which I've wanted to do since the network started. The Vader-Cactus Jack main event was barbaric, and I mean that in the best possible way. Rude-Flair, Austin-Dustin Rhodes(Rhodes was awful at this point in his career,) and a really good match between Orndorff and Steamboat.

I've been watching a lot of 92-95 wcw and until hogan gets involved it's pretty good. Probably better than what wwe was doing during the same time, although I still prefer wwe because I grew up with it.

It's really interesting watching Austin grow as a wrestler over that time period. He has some very good matches with steamboat and the whole Hollywood blondes run is pretty awesome.

The Taker/Lesnar match was great, I LOVED it. The rest of the show was pretty lackluster.

nothing really seemed exciting to me. the Cena/Del Rio match was my fault, i really hoped we might get Daniel Brian back to take the US title, or someone exciting from NXT, but i really dont have much use for Del Rio, that may change but when he left i was glad he left.

the taker/brock match was what i expected of it but it really wasnt what i watched the ppv for, i wanted to see an enjoyable title match but that was a dud, the reigns/wyatt match was pretty good but predictable, as much as i love owens and i am starting to not hate ryback, that one really wasnt a great match, 3 of the best workers were stuck in a 6 man tag on the preshow, and im happy that we should finally see the womens division getting some good matches now that Nikki should be out of the picture for a bit, that match kinda sucked too.

to me it was the complete opposite of summerslam, i thought all the SS matches were boring as hell on paper but they were all so good and fun to watch, and HiaC looked pretty good on paper but really didnt deliver. oh well, hopefully survivor series will be good.

As much as I can do without Reigns as a character, that Superman Punch counter to the Pop Up Powerbomb on Raw was great.

not quite as good as the curb stomp into the rko at mainia, but definitely in the discussion for one of the top spots of the year, it was pretty darn cool.

The reverse hurricanrana that finished the Bayley-Sasha match is in the discussion as well.

As far as why I loved the Taker-Lesnar match, I was so happy to see a HIAC match that had the level of violence that the match and this feud called for. Great psychology as well with the finish.

Seth Rollins is injured; he fucked up his knee last night at a show in Dublin. He's out 6 to 9 months :(

There's going to be a tournament at Survivor Series to crown a new champion.

It sucks, but it makes Survivor Series alot more intriguing.

Rollins was just starting to really hit his stride as a character, this blows for him.

If I had to make a quick prediction, I'd say Sheamus cashes in on whomever wins the tournament.

sucks about rollins. he's been great, i think, and has exceeded expectations. not the way you want to drop the title, either. all around shitty situation.

hopefully they do some tourney matches on raw/smackdown and not all on the ppv. get the 4-5 minute shit out of the way on tv and have at most 3 matches on the ss show. they've got two weeks so don't fuck this up.
ah, copperplate, a font for the truly modern man.
