I mean, I guess. But like I said, I've never paid for any of it. So if they're making it for me, they're broke idiots.

"Brush Away" by Alice in Chains has one of my favorite guitar solos.

The line "Is all the world just jails and churches?" from RATM's "Vietnow" still hits hard.

Was listening to the fly by U2 yesterday. That's gotta be edges best guitar solo ever. Certainly among my all time favourites.

Keep in mind that these stats don't include album streams
Kids don't buy music anymore.

What does everyone think of Jerry Cantrell's solo work?

not crazy about it. This includes the PLSMG (Post Layne Staley Money Grab) Alice in Chains.

I like "Boggy Depot," though I haven't listened to it in years. "Degradation Trip" had a great sludgy vibe to it but ultimately I thought the songs were pretty weak. I haven't really listened to any post-Layne AIC.

And I agree with you about "Brush Away" -- one of my favorite AIC tunes.

Well, Boggy Depot is great. I love it, love the country vibe, the hard songs, the production, the personnel..hell, i even like the artwork.
Degradation Trip...is too long for me..there are some good songs but pretty much every of them needs a edit...but there is some good stuff in there.

I downloaded a bunch of Rolling Stones and Neil Young albums last night and I'm slowly working through them today. We'll see how this goes.

I tried a few times but never managed to really get into The Stones. Maybe someday. I always mostly enjoy what I'm hearing but never have the urge to come back.

So far I have a feeling the Stones are a great singles band but not so much a great album band.

That is my feeling about them as well, and my experience with them has been largely similar to Mike's. They have made more than a few songs I enjoy, but in the end they don't hit that sweet spot that my favorite artists do.

Interested to hear how your experience with Neil goes -- he is one of my all-time favorites.

I'm more interested in your Neil Young takes, so hurry up.
