I kind of like myself less the more I sit with it.LoathedVermin72 wrote:I’m already liking Midsommar less the longer I sit with it.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

I liked the start, but then it got a little boring. Think my girlfriend felt similar. We laughed quite a bit in the beginning, but eventually she left the living room to take a nap.

Rushmore is a super overrated film. It's totally fine. But from first viewing I thought it was pretty flawed.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Interesting. I've been meaning to check it out but this is the first I've heard of misogyny. Are we talking like Mad Men misogyny? Or Tarantino misogyny?tragabigzanda wrote:I’d be really curious to hear your thoughts on Darjeeling, Joe. It’s the most overtly misogynistic — the sons are all shits — but I think it’s also one of his most effective stories.

Are you saying the movie is misogynistic because you think characters in it are misogynistic?tragabigzanda wrote:I’d be really curious to hear your thoughts on Darjeeling, Joe. It’s the most overtly misogynistic — the sons are all shits — but I think it’s also one of his most effective stories.

Oh wait, trag, answer LV's question. This is what I was getting at in my post but this is way clearer.LoathedVermin72 wrote:Are you saying the movie is misogynistic because you think characters in it are misogynistic?tragabigzanda wrote:I’d be really curious to hear your thoughts on Darjeeling, Joe.
