The movie is about four people---the three brothers and the Mom---who run away from their feelings, run away from dealing with grief. Mom runs away to India and refuses to even tell her sons where she is. Why does she do this? Is it because she has great emotional intelligence and is sick and tired of her toxic sons who just want to leech off her and get her to "solve all their problems"?
No! Not at all! Zero percent!
It is because she is incapable of dealing with her feelings and is desperately trying to avoid the journey towards emotional reconciliation that the brothers take during the movie. Owen Wilson has a near death experience, realizes something is wrong and that he wants to fix it, and convinces/tricks his brothers into accompanying him on this hare-brained scheme that even he doesn't fully comprehend but which somehow ends up working despite itself.
She even runs away from the brothers the morning after they find her. She knows that if she stuck around she would have been forced to feel her feelings about her relationship with her sons and her dead (ex?) husband and she is unwilling and incapable of doing that. At the beginning of the movie, they were all incapable of doing it, but she is the only one who actively avoids any attempt to be better. Schwartzman and Brody at least agree to take the trip with Owen Wilson, even if they are cynical about it.
The brothers aren't trying to get Mom to solve all their problems. Maybe, in their bumbling and oblivious way, they wanted to help her. In reality, they just wanted to see her. She is their mother and she's not a bad person and they love her. But she is so afraid of her own emotions that she can't even let them know where on the globe she is

I thought that movie was about how the train, a character in the movie, felt taken for granted as just a vessel for the other characters

This is just the worst kind of feminism. Women are faultless, men are always toxic. The female character doesn't do what the male characters would have liked for her to do; ergo the men are toxic and trying to impose their will against this blameless, perfect woman. No matter what

Django Unchained... not sure why this one gets such a bad rap. I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it (except maybe the QT cameo... Ugh!).
Also, pi... Got halfway through it last night. Gonna start it over tonight. First time seeing it in 15 years-ish; forgot how intense Aranofsky is!

I watched Blade Runner last night and was quite underwhelmed. It was beautiful and the soundtrack was great, but that was all I really enjoyed about it.

Just watched Dark Fate with my nephew. He loves all of the Terminator movies, but this one didn't hold his interest.
I enjoyed everything up until Sarah Connor getting involved, but she was just terrible. I also thought the new John Connor girl was awful. I didn't believe for a second that she was a bad ass and the scene where she learned how to fire a gun in 5 minutes was laughable.
