Disappointing to hear that someone threw a banana onto the ice last night at Subban. I guess he/she forgot that Iginla is on the Bruins and Subban's brother is in the Bruins organization.

if this happened in philly it would be front page news. however, our best goal scorer is black and the person who did it would probably get their ass kicked by other fans ala the dude who threw up on someone at the phillies game.

great series. i thought it was hysterical lucic was threatening people in the handshake line

The ironic thing about Lucic's antics is the fact that he recently wrote an anti-bullying book. Meanwhile he's threatening guys in the handshake line. Class stuff from a guy who scored 1 empty net goal in a seven game series and pounded his chest like it was the cup winner.

Nothing tops Marchard however as the biggest ass on the Bruins. I'm glad the refs called his antics in game-7 because they were letting him get away with that shit against the Canucks in 2011. The little prick did get away with this one however...

Plekanec's reaction to that is awesome. Marchand is always doing stupid stuff like that to try to throw opponents off their game, so to see someone respond by adjusting his helmet and laughing is pretty great.

Well, reports are that Chara was playing with a broken finger (compound fracture) that needs surgery right away, so I'm not so sure the B's would have made it past the Rangers without Chara or with him and his messed up hand.

You would think Boston athletes might want to think twice these days about threatening to kill someone....

I want the Ducks. I don't care about home ice. We don't need it.

Why do you want Anaheim over LA?

Marchand is a total dink at times...that being said, anything the Canucks received in 2011 was completely justified based on all of the stupid shit they did in that series (and I'm a Canucks fan)

it's amazing how tender and respectful hockey players can be such as giving Selanne a great sendoff... then you get Milan Lucic.

"It was determined Toews' initial shot did not enter the net," the explanation read. "The referee's original call on the ice was 'good goal' but a discussion between the on-ice officials resulted in a 'no goal' decision because Toews made incidental contact with Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick before the puck crossed the goal line. This is not a reviewable play therefore the decision on the ice stands -- no goal and no penalty."

The science and truth behind those racist Tweets.

If that's too lengthy of a read, the bottom line is this:

What these figures tell us is that there were 288 Tweets [give or take one] that used the "n-word" and Subban's name in a racist and derogatory manner after Game 1.

So, no, the n-word was not trending in Boston. And, no, there were not 17,000 Tweets using the n-word.

Yes, 288 Tweets is far too many, but a very small number compared to the millions of B's fans out there.

This series is really the final, much like Seahawks-49ers was really the Super Bowl.
