realized I'm getting a bit of a gut. basically all I can do is sit-ups right? and maybe some running would help.

I typically don't sweat all that much, but the past few days I sweated through my shirt and was dripping sweat. What gives?

Sit ups aren't going to do too much if you have fat over the muscle. I can tell a real difference in my mid section when I've been running regularly than when I have not. And I don't even run that much compared to a lot guys here, less than 10 miles a week.
But I hear you on the gut though. That's the one place fat does accumulate on me. Skinny arms, legs & ass but my belly can easily pooch out & get that pregnant look if I let it.

Got in a nothing special workout last night. But I woke this morning with a sore right trapezius. While I know I didn't do anything serious to it I'm bummed because it take a while for even a slight shoulder injury to heal up. A couple years ago on Memorial Day I strained my left deltoid a bit, right where it meets the bone and it was all summer before it felt normal. I hope I don't have to go through something similar again.

I noticed that there is a knee brace and elbow brace that's called CopperFit. I want everyone to know that I have NOT endorsed these products.

Shoulder's fine & was able to get in a better than average workout Friday night. Then I went for a 4-5 mile hike on Saturday. That worked my legs more than anything I've done in the gym.

I had a good streak of going to the gym every other day going that got snapped this weekend. I went back tonight & got a typical workout in but I'm feeling a little tighter, slightly stifffer than usual. Got to say I love that; when you're not sore but you still feel the burn a couple hours later. You have an awareness of your muscles/body that's typically not there.

i havent done anything but bench press and run in like 2 weeks. i feel good though.

im thinkin about changing my next routine and do legs w/ back. my plan is to superset squats w/ pull ups, then do dead lifts, rows and shrugs. i might do curls at the end, but i hate curls. its alot of larger muscle groups in one work out, but its upper and lower so i think ill be ok.

t2b, not as hot of a May as I expected it to be. Better get those daytime runs in before we hit June, wouldn't you say?

I was doing really good there until my kidney infection hit this week. I had actually knocked my weights up some and even gained 3-4 pounds (I'm going to assume all muscle of course :P ). I missed a couple workouts & went back today. My side is a little tender still & I can tell that when I strained so parts of it were more of a walk through than true workout. Felt good to be in the gym though & should be back to normal by this time next week.

i dont think i have ever been more physically exhausted after a workout than tonight.

i did 2.5 miles on the elliptical in 30 minutes than went to the pool and did 10 laps (1000 yards). every muscle in my body just feels totally tired beyond belief

Hit the gym my first real workout since the long weekend. I went Monday but that turned into more of a walk through than anything. Got to admit it felt great feeling the burn again.
I'm not much of a runner but I did a 10k on the 4th. I barely did any prep work leading up, thus my time of 70 odd minutes. But in all fairness it's more of a fun run, the kind that I had a shot & three beers along the route.

Went hiking in a canyon a couple hours away yesterday. A good bit of climbing up & down, over & around granite rocks along the way. It was fun but apparently I'm not as good as shape as I thought I was, feeling it this morning.

Been a little slack at the gym this week; got busy with work & other things and only went once. But I hit it good this morning; over an hour and a half workout. Felt great too.

That's some pretty remarkable progress.
