The punishment fit the crime--she gouged his eyes out, now hers are useless. The Many Faced God is nothing if not fair. I can see why he didn't outright kill her, though: Jaqen himself broke those rules when he helped her escape Harrenhall.

My boys were watching the latest WWE PPv while I watched this. It's similar to wrestling. Ok, your guy is out. That means you're out? That's bullshit, miss. The fight for the belt/throne continues. And when it's won, know that someone elder is coming for it.

I'm Team Malice mostly. Once Joffrey died my interest mostly died with him. The central plot (up to that point) just sputtered to a stop because all the characters died (mostly in anti-climactic ways). Now its a bunch of people I don't care about doing things I don't care about. I think if you do care about these new characters, then it works, but its not for me. Its a soap opera. It feels like cheap manipulation. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt its going to add up into anything cool.

Do people really think this is going to climax with a big war of white walkers and dragons and huge armies and who knows what else? On a TV budget? I think people are gonna rage when this thing actually ends.

At least with wrestling you have complete story arcs (usually).

seriously though, the only thing I can let on as a book reader is that show has certainly captured how much you cared about those departed. Art elicits emotion and great art elicits strong emotions both positive and negative. These stories and characters are great because we get to know them as people and champion their virtues while simultaneously wondering how they could make the mistakes that they did. We want Jon to succeed because he's the hero and virtuous, but that's not what this story is about; the story is about turning tropes on their heads and ultimately, these are just people, not necessarily heroes. Everyone on the show you like could die, but their world keeps going. New faces fill the void of the old ones, villains become sympathetic characters (Jaime), etc.

somebody on FB made a comment about how all of our favorite characters will be back...with just less flesh on them. So, Okay if thast true and there is a greater point to it all....then maybe by the end of the series it will all make sense. As of now its really hard to keep interest in the show as a non book reader. Although, if you are a book reader and that hasn't been fleshed out or tied up...whats your motivation? Unfortunately, I need characters to give a shit about in order to keep watching. As of now Tyrion is really the only character i give a poo about and im sure he will get slaughtered too
