First Rockets fan in the thread, right?
There seem to be multiple Spurs, Heat, Celtics, and Bulls fans in here, but I can't think of a Rockets fan.

Not sure what FTFY means but thanks for picking me up there haha.
Yes Rockets fan since the early 90's. Grew up a huge fan of Olajuwon.

I like the Bulls picking McDermmot (for them, not for me lol), but I'm reading tweets mocking the Bulls for being cheap. Is that because they cheaped out by not wanting to pay two first round picks? I don't get it.

Not sure how I feel about the Smart pick. He can't play with Rondo unless he's a better shooter than advertised. I'll miss Rondo if/when they trade him. I do think Smart will play well at the next level. We'll see I guess.

McDermmot is a great pick up for the Bulls they did good with that one.

I dunno. I'm not thrilled with the Bulls making that trade. I can't figure out what they think they're doing. I'm afraid the answer is "Be just competitive enough to keep making money hand over fist, but not enough to contend for a title."

As a hardcore Creighton hater (Husker fan) I hated playing against McDermott. Guy is an animal. Think Wally Szczerbiak with a higher ceiling. Just my 2 cents.

We had to record the US soccer game today, so I didn't turn the draft on until pick 13 or so. My fiancée has already cried three times (when one guy hugged his mom, when they talked about that little girl that died, and when the NBA picked the marfanoid).

I guess I'm cynical about his ability to get his shot off in the NBA.

Not only is Payne going to be a steal in the draft I think but a damn good dude too. Heartwarming story.

Understandable. McDermott is deceptively athletic. He isn't going to jump our of the arena or anything but he can flat score. He won't carry a team but he can be a 15-20 a game scorer I think.
The comparisons to Adam Morrison are laughable. DM has a fantastic work ethic.

I hope you're right and he turns into a valuable second rotation player.
