I like the song that Robert Smith does on that Blink record.

ha--I just looked up the band. Well, that explains it.
You got there.

I'm not gonna feel too bad for not being caught up on Mike Patton's new projects.

I don't think I've listened to any of these teams in full. My first vote is going to take ages 'cuz I'm going to have to marathon everything.

LMS-- was it you or Kaius who wasn't into Tom Waits? If it was you, the song I drafted is a different side of him. It softens and enhances the howling and clanging stuff we tend to focus on.

I'm glad I'm not the only person who wasn't familiar with everything

I don't think I've voiced my opinion on TW. I've tried with MV, BM, Alice, Frank's etc but I can really only take a song or two. The exception is what I think is called the early years vol 2. That's awesome but I haven't heard it in a decade.

I'm heading away for the weekend so I won't get a chance to listen to this till Tuesday. Lots of listening to be had.

I am still blown away by Stip's Clint Eastwood revelation, it's like saying you've never heard or heard of Loveshack.

But if you don't listen to radio, and don't have friends that keep making you listen to new music, you'd only really hear it at clubs/restaurants, when it would just be part of the noise. I've unknowingly avoided plenty of smash hits this way.

It was unavoidable if you were a teenager when it came out. If you weren't, then yeah, you could probably miss it.

It's not like Stip wasnt a fan of alt rock in 2001, I just find it unimaginable that he never heard that song.

the late 90s/early 2000s was a dark period for alt rock radio. I didn't listen to it very much.
