We could put a salary cap in place for the Create-Your-Own Tournament if we're worried teams will be too uneven.

Especially if you are being pretty liberal in your definition of name dropping, given how often Cash is mentioned.

So you would have to use 1994 Kirby Pucket but not 1986 Kirby Pucket. Late Tony Gwynn but not early Tony Gwynn. Bold.

1973 Bert Blyleven

1977 Rich Gossage
1964 Hoyt Wilhelm
1990 Dennis Eckersley
2001 Mariano Rivera

Starting 8 are career WAR leaders at their position provided their best whatif season took place in the live ball era.

Top 8 career starting pitcher WAR leaders provided their best whatif season took place in the live ball era.

Top 4 career WAR leaders among relief pitchers.

For everyone except for relief pitchers I took the best season accoring to whatif. For RP I took the season with the most saves.

That team kinda sucks. You'd probably get bounced first round of the playoffs.

Oh, and for the bench I went down the all time career WAR leaders (all positions) and took the best guys that weren't already on my team and played in the live ball era.
