The average republican's ability to forget they are the "small government" party while suggesting insanely expensive new government programs (like training and arming teachers) will never cease to amaze me.

A lot of the people who were upset at NFL playeres taking a protesting police brutality by taking a knee during the national anthem, because, its disrespectful to the Miltary,
are also constantly going on and on about supporting the police. They also, are now going on and on about their 2nd amendment rights to bare arms, to protect us from a tyranical governement, and be able to fight back, against, the very same police, and miltary, that a tyranical government would be using to put down a well armed milita that looked to over throw it.

And the crazier part, is if there was less guns on the streets, police would feel safer, and less likely to be trigger happy. Meaning less police shootings, and no more protests. Case in point, England, where police do not even carry guns!


The gun nuts, are spinning us into a never ending cycle of violence and hatred, but their too brain washed by the NRA and other groups to realize it.

I feel like a federal buyback program would be a good idea. Reduce the amount of weapons in circulation.

This is a good idea. It’s an incentive for those who are feeling an internal struggle emotionally (like Burts post a day ago). To get a couple of hundred bucks might just be enough.

I think people would just cash in their old crap and buy a new toy.

No one who is a danger to others is going to use it unless they are desperate for crack money.

We're well beyond reducing supply as a solution at this point.
