Even if he was able to somehow do away with the election, as of Jan 20, 2021, his term is over and he’s not president anymore. He and Pence are out of office that day. Verb is correct in that the Speaker of the House would then become president. I’m not sure if this is an election year for Pelosi or not.

Not that I know of. The constitution says that on Jan 20, that term is over. Now, that's not to say he won't try some bullshit to stay, but constitutionally speaking, his term as president is over on that day.

I'd love to know how Trump's account and followers contribute to Twitter's bottom line. Can't imagine that doesn't play into their decision to keep him there.

I know this line of thinking is a waste of time, but I'm baffled when Trump-defenders frequently point out: Actually, the Democrats were the people who were in favor of Jim Crow segregation, etc.

They know that white voters in the former Jim Crow states overwhelmingly vote republican. They know that it's not the democrats fighting to preserve and/or honor the segregation legacy via the confederate flag or civil war statues. They are often simultaneously downplaying the extent that racism exists now, and existed in the past.

It's the stupidest thing. It's not even exposing, condemning, or fighting against racism that exists now among democrats. That would be at least salient and worthwhile.

It boils down to the asinine accusation: "YOU are racist because WE supported segregation in the past"
